In a continuing effort to provide high quality products, Autodesk has released Autodesk Simulation Mechanical 2017. This file highlights open issues with Autodesk Simulation Mechanical 2017 and provides information that is useful while using this software.
Before you begin...
(For Windows 7 and Windows 8, use the Windows Update utility located in the Control Panel or under All Programs in the Start Menu.)
To install Autodesk Simulation Mechanical 2017:
To Activate Autodesk Simulation Mechanical 2017:
Note: You can specify a port number with the server name using the format, xxxxx@servername.
When creating a deployment image of Autodesk Simulation Mechanical 2017:
To verify the installation is successful, start Autodesk Simulation Mechanical 2017. Click the double-arrows near the top-right corner of the window to expand the InfoCenter icon group. Click the down-arrow next to the question mark icon and select About. If the About dialog box displays: Build 2017.00.00.31nn, the correct version is installed.

Autodesk Simulation Job Manager Local Service failed to start
Please install Windows 8.1 Update (KB2919355) prior to installing Simulation Mechanical to avoid this issue.
