You can apply this extension to the following Autodesk products running on all supported operating systems and languages. Be sure to install the correct extension for your software.

The Autodesk^® MicroDrainage Utility provides the ability for Autodesk^® Civil 3D^® Pipe Networks to be renamed and exported to MDX/SWS/FWS format for analysis within the MicroDrainage System 1 drainage design module and then imported to update the pipe network in Autodesk Civil 3D to create a 3D model of drainage network as well as product plans, sections and pipe and structure schedules.

Key Features of this Extension

• Utility to aid the renaming of the pipe network to WinDes naming convention
• Export pipe network to SWS and FWS file format
• Import and update existing network from SWS/FWS
• Prefix and suffix to pipe naming
• Change pipe network style

Note: This utility does not support the round tripping of data since any data generated by WinDes is not maintained. The export is a clean file of the pipe network only. The more recent versions of WinDes also still support this core format.

As you prepare to install this extension, keep the following in mind:

Back Up Custom Files

It is recommended that you back up all custom CUIX, MNR, and MNL files before you apply this extension.

Administrative Privileges

During installation or uninstallation, you may be prompted for the original installation media or a network image. In order to apply this extension, you must have privileges to install and uninstall products.

Close the Application

It is required that you close Autodesk^® Civil 3D^® 2022 before proceeding with the installation of this extension.

Reboot

After you install, it is recommended to reboot your system even if not prompted.

About Your Product

After you install, product information is displayed in the About dialog box.

Follow these instructions to install this extension on a single computer.

1. Download the extension and save it to any folder.
2. Close all running Autodesk applications.
3. Find the folder where you saved the extension and double-click the executable (.exe) file.

1. Download this extension and save it to any shared folder on your local network.
2. Close all running Autodesk applications.
3. Find the shared folder where you saved the extension, and double-click the executable (.exe) file.

This extension can be uninstalled through the Program and Features section of the Microsoft® Windows® Control Panel.

Follow these instructions to uninstall this extension on a single computer.

1. Insert the product media (for example, the Autodesk Civil 3D installation disc) or make sure the installation source files are available.
2. In Windows Control Panel > Program and Features, click on the Autodesk Microdrainage Utility 2022 and choose the Uninstall option.
3. In the Autodesk Microdrainage Utility 2022 maintenance dialog box click Yes to confirm that you want to uninstall the extension.
