Autodesk® Robot™ Structural Analysis Extension for Revit 2023.1. It is strongly
recommended that you read this entire document before you apply the extension
to your licensed copy of the product
Robot Structural Analysis Extension for Revit is a
tool which allows bidirectional data exchange between Autodesk® Robot™
Structural Analysis Professional (Robot) and Autodesk® Revit® (Revit).
With
this tool you can:
·
Transfer a structure
model from Revit to Robot or from Robot to Revit
·
Update a structure model
in one program after making changes to the model in another program
·
Transfer the calculated
results of static analysis and required reinforcement from Robot to the Revit
model.
This 2023.1 update can be installed in two cases:
1.
Robot Structural Analysis
Professional and Revit is installed on the same machine, then the Robot Structural Analysis link command is already
available on the Revit ribbon on the Analyze tab.
2.
Robot Structural Analysis Extension is
installed as an add-in to Revit 2023 or 2023.1 release.
The Robot Structural Analysis Extension is useful for Revit when Robot
Structural Analysis program is not present on the same machine. After
installing the Robot Structural Analysis link, the command will be available on
Revit ribbon on the Analyze tab. In this case you can save your model to the
intermediate file (SMXX) and open it in either Robot or Revit. You can then use
the SMXX file to exchange data between programs on different computers.
Robot
Structural Analysis Extension for Revit 2023.1
brings several enhancements to the link as well as fixes some issues:
Enhancements
· Enabled the creation and assignment of default Steel Design parameters type in Robot when transferred from Revit. The Steel Design parameters type is based on analytical member Structural Role defined in Revit, such as Beam, Column, Girder, and Member.
·
Enabled the roundtrip of steel design parameters between Revit and
Robot, so the Steel Design parameters type defined and assigned by a user in
Robot Structural Analysis program is preserved after exchanging model with
Revit.
Issues Resolved
· Corrected the update of members and panels geometry when edited in Robot and sent to Revit.
· Corrected the transfer of members from Robot to Revit when section rotation angle exceeds the range of (-180;180) degrees.
· Corrected grid position update when edited in Revit and sent to Robot model.
· Enabled analytical model transfer from Robot to Revit in case of German Structural template.
