Who Should Install This Hotfix?

The Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2024.0.1 hotfix is recommended for all users. It enhances reliability and corrects issues that you may encounter while using the product.

This hotfix may be applied to any licensed copy of Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2024 software. It is not recommended to uninstall this hotfix as may affect some functionalities in the software. See Uninstall notice for further information.

Primary Issues Resolved by This Hotfix

As a result of detailed information from customers, the following were identified and fixed:

General Issues

·         Corrected program instabilities while running analysis for a model containing steel connection definition.

·         Corrected Degree value input for gamma angle property for members.

·         Corrected the program instability that occurred when selecting the Envelope results table for shells configured for Envelope presentation for single points and using Ctrl+A to copy to the clipboard.

·         Corrected display of the nonlinear function name in the Supports dialog.

·         Corrected the version name displayed in Task Manager and properties.

Loads and Analysis

·         Corrected harmonic analysis results for internal forces in members when damping is enabled in analysis parameters.

·         Corrected spectrum definition for seismic analysis according to Portuguese NP EN 1998-1:2010/A1 2013 design code.

·         Corrected display of load contours by improving tolerance of contour load application to inclined panels.

·         Corrected effect of a redundant force displayed in global coordinate system origin when forces generated automatically are presented in the view for a seismic analysis load case with an equivalent lateral force method.

·         Corrected reactions for Load Take-Down analysis in case a wall was supported by beams and nodal support in duplicated nodes where one reaction was missing.

·         Corrected reactions for Load Take-Down analysis in case a column was supported by a beam and a nodal support where reaction was taken twice.

·         Corrected reactions for Load Take-Down analysis in case an unsupported wall edge when concentrated load should be distributed to the support and beam.

·         Corrected results for the concentrated force in point applied on walls in Load Take-Down analysis method.

·         Corrected transfer of loads to walls and supports in Load Take-Down analysis.

Revit – Robot Integration

·         Corrected the issue related to run-time error while sending the model containing analytical openings from Revit to Robot.

·         Corrected the issue related to run-time error while sending the model containing arc members with loads from Revit to Robot.

·         Corrected transferring of area loads on panels with openings from Revit to Robot.

·         Corrected the results of transferring more than one line load with a defined path back to Revit.

Installation Instructions

Before You Begin

Back-up Files

It is recommended that you back up all your files before you apply this Hotfix.

Administrative Privileges

To apply this Hotfix, it is recommended to have administrative privileges to install and uninstall products.

About Your Product

After you install the Hotfix, updated product information displays in the About dialog box.

Reboot

After you install this Hotfix, it is recommended to reboot your system even if not prompted.

Apply This Hotfix to a Standalone Installation

 

To download and install the hotfix on a single computer, either:

·         Download and install the hotfix using your Autodesk Account.

To install the hotfix from your Autodesk Account, follow the instructions below.

1.    Make sure Robot Structural Analysis Professional is not running.

2.    Sign in to your Autodesk Account.

3.    Click the Management tab, and then click Product Updates.

Note: Only the most recent hotfix displays.

4.    Position the cursor on the hotfix you want to download, and then click Download.

5.    Open the downloaded RobotStructuralAnalysisProfessional2024_HotFix1.exe file.

 

OR

 

·         Install this hotfix directly from the Autodesk Access.

Autodesk Access is installed by default with Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2024.

Update from the Autodesk Access:

1.    Launch Autodesk Access.

2.    When the hotfix becomes available, Autodesk Access displays it on a list of available updates.

Note: In the top right-hand corner of the Autodesk Access window, you can select from which period the updates will be displayed.

3.    Click Update to install the hotfix on your computer.

Apply This Hotfix Using a Local Network

Follow these instructions to install this hotfix on multiple computers using your local network.

1.    Download this hotfix and save it to any shared folder on your local network.

2.    Find the shared folder where you saved the hotfix and double-click the EXE file.

You can also build your deployment using your Autodesk Account at Custom Install tab.

Uninstall this Hotfix

Windows 10/11

1.    From the Start menu (Windows), click Settings.

2.    Click Apps.

3.    In the Apps window, in Related Settings in the upper right corner, click Programs and Features.

4.    In the Programs and Features window, in the left pane, click View Installed Updates.

5.    Find the appropriate hotfix in the list of updates and click Uninstall.
