In a continuing effort to speed install time for our customers, Autodesk has released Autodesk Inventor Professional 2025 with a subset of the Mold Design Metric Desktop Content library. This subset of the Inventor Mold Design Metric Desktop Content library includes all components necessary for the Mold Design Samples and Tutorials.

Additionally, Autodesk Vault 2025 products also provide a subset of the Mold Design Metric Remote Content library which contains the same components as the subset Desktop content library.

The three complete Mold Design Desktop & Remote Content libraries are provided separately via download for Autodesk Inventor Professional 2025 Mold Design. These content libraries contain all available Mold Design content.

• The six complete Mold Design content libraries, for three Autodesk Inventor Professional 2025 Mold Design Desktop Content Libraries, they can be available from Autodesk Account -> All Products and Services -> Inventor Professional -> 2025 -> View details -> Libraries, or from Autodesk Account -> Product Updates.
• The six complete Mold Design content libraries, for three Autodesk Inventor Professional 2025 Mold Design Remote Content Libraries, they can be downloaded from Autodesk Account -> All Products and Services -> Vault Professional / Basic - Server -> 2025 -> View details -> Libraries, or from Autodesk Account -> Product Updates.
• Any combination of the desktop content or remote content libraries can be installed: Metric/mm, Imperial/Inch, or Meusburger.
• The subset and complete versions of the Mold Design Metric Content Library have the same filename and cannot be installed at the same time. Follow the instructions below to ensure the subset file is removed prior to installing the full version.

Before installing the Mold Design content libraries for Autodesk Inventor Professional 2025, ensure you have the following installed according to your usage of content libraries:

Inventor Desktop Content

• Autodesk Inventor Professional 2025.
• Content Center Libraries for Inventor Desktop Content.



Inventor Remote Content

• Vault Server system:

Autodesk Data Management Server (Vault Server)

• Autodesk Inventor system:

Autodesk Inventor Professional 2025

Content Center add-in.

EDM Add-In (Installed by the Vault Client, together with the Inventor Vault add-in, when the Vault Client is installed. It is Hidden by default.)

The subset of the Mold Design Metric Desktop Content Library was included with the installation of Autodesk Inventor Professional 2025 Mold Design and the corresponding Remote subset library was installed with Autodesk Vault 2025. To install the complete version libraries for Autodesk Inventor Professional 2025 Mold Design these subset libraries must be removed. Execute the following instructions based upon your usage of the content libraries:

Inventor Desktop Content

1. Download the desired Mold Design Desktop Content Libraries:

ai2025_inventor_mold_metric_desktop.exe

ai2025_inventor_mold_imperial_desktop.exe

ai2025_inventor_mold_meusburger_desktop.exe

2. Ensure no Autodesk applications are running on your system.
3. Obtain the Inventor Desktop Content installation directory:
• Start Autodesk Inventor Professional 2025.
• Access Tools > Application Options > Content Center.
• Make a note of the Inventor Desktop Content installation directory as listed in the Location of Libraries field.
• Shutdown Autodesk Inventor Professional 2025.
4. To ensure the complete Desktop Content Library can be installed, the existing .idcl file should be removed.
• Open a Windows Explorer window and browse to the Inventor Desktop Content installation directory obtained above.
• If file AI2025_Inventor Mold Metric.idcl exists (the subset Metric library file) and you plan on replacing it with the complete version, manually delete it or move it to a side folder.
5. To install each complete Mold Design Desktop Content Library separately, uncompress the downloaded .exe file:
• The Desktop Content installation location is C:\Autodesk\DesktopContentLibrary2025 by default.
• For each library, this may take several minutes.
6. When Autodesk Inventor Professional 2025 is next started, select the library you need to access by selecting Manage > Projects > Configure Content Center Libraries.

Inventor Remote Content - Autodesk Vault Server

1. Download the desired Mold Design Remote Content Libraries:

ai2025_inventor_mold_metric_remote.exe

ai2025_inventor_mold_imperial_remote.exe

ai2025_inventor_mold_meusburger_remote.exe

2. To ensure the complete Remote Content Library can be installed, the existing subset Metric library should be removed.
• Start Autodesk Data Management Server Console 2025.
• Expand the libraries node and look for the AI2025_Inventor Mold Metric Library.
• If the AI2025_Inventor Mold Metric library exists (the subset Metric library file) and you plan on replacing it with the complete version, select and delete it from the Actions menu.
3. To install each complete Mold Design Remote Content Library separately:
• The Remote Content installation location is C:\Autodesk\ContentLibrary2025. Note: by default the databases are located in a SQL Data folder.
• For each library, this may take several minutes.
4. In the Autodesk Data Management Server Console, select the Libraries node, then select Attach in the Actions menu.
5. Browse to the installation location and select the libraries.
6. When Autodesk Inventor Professional 2025 is next started, select the library you need to access by selecting Manage > Projects > Configure Content Center Libraries.
