Who Should Install This Hotfix?

 

This Hotfix can be applied to Advance Steel 2025 running on all supported operating systems and languages.

Primary Issues Resolved by This Hotfix

As a result of detailed information from customers, the following were identified and fixed:

·        Fixed an issue that caused the Reference Manager to close unexpectedly when loading an Advance Steel .dwg file if Advance Steel Object Enabler was installed on the same computer.

·        Fixed an issue that caused the page frame to not be inserted in the detail after changing the drawing prototype from inside the detail.

·        Fixed an issue that prevented a specific detail to be updated.

·        Fixed an issue where some details of models containing XREF files could not be updated.

·        Fixed an issue that caused Robot Structural Analysis to close unexpectedly when loading a .dwg file saved in Advance Steel if Advance Steel was installed on the same computer.

·        Updated security to STEP Tools 20 to prevent a malicious third party from causing segmentation faults or buffer overflows through crafted files.

·        Updated security to System.Data.SQLite 1.0.118 to prevent a malicious third party from causing segmentation faults or buffer overflows through crafted SQLite databases on Object Enabler installations configured to use SQLite instead of SQLLocalDB.

·        Updated security to SQLite 3.44.2 to prevent a malicious third party from causing segmentation faults or buffer overflows through crafted SQLite databases on Object Enabler installations configured to use SQLite instead of SQLLocalDB.

·        Updated security to zlib 1.3.1 to prevent a malicious third party from causing segmentation faults or buffer overflows through crafted files.

General Installation Information

Before You Begin

Back Up Custom Files

It is recommended that you back up all custom CUIX, MNR, and MNL files before you apply this Hotfix.

Administrative Privileges

During installation, you will be prompted for the original installation media or a network image. To apply this Hotfix, you must have administrative privileges to install and uninstall products.

About Your Product

After you install the Hotfix, updated product information displays in the About dialog box.

Reboot

After you install this Hotfix, it is recommended to reboot your system even if not prompted.

Uninstall This Hotfix

Windows 8 / Windows 10

1.    Start Control Panel.

2.    Click Programs.

3.    Click Programs and Features.

4.    In the Programs and Features window, in the left pane, click View Installed Updates.

5.    Find the appropriate Hotfix in the list of updates, select it, and click Uninstall.

6.    Next, in the Installed Updates window, in the left pane, click Uninstall a program.

7.    Find the appropriate Hotfix entry in the list of programs, select it, and click Uninstall.
