Installation and Configuration

Before you install Advance Steel 2025:

·         Make sure you have Administrator rights.

·         Close all active Windows applications.

·         Disable any antivirus software.

Install

Recommended: Install all Windows Updates before installing the product.

System Requirements

The first task you need to complete is to make sure that your computer meets the system requirements. If your system does not meet these requirements, problems can occur, both within Advance Steel and at the operating system level.

Advance Steel supports only the 64-bit version of Windows operating system.

Refer to the hardware and software requirements.

Release Notes

·         Advance Steel runs on .NET 8: Starting with this release, Advance Steel is using a modern .NET version, ensuring enhanced performance, security, and developer features.

·         Fixed an issue that prevented a section cut done on a camera detail to not use the view depth of the view it was made on.

·         Fixed an issue that resulted in incorrect cuts on user profiles in NC files. Default C0_RotateUserProfilesHeaderCuts =1 needs to be added in the Default_INT table.

·         Fixed an issue that caused the numbering process to take a long time to complete, on a particular model.

·         Fixed an issue that resulted in an incorrect placement of holes in the Ayrshire CAM output.

·         Fixed an issue that caused objects to disappear in viewports with 2D Wireframe shading, during multi-user check-out scenarios with multiple viewports.

Product Removal

To uninstall Advance Steel 2025 from the Control Panel

1.    On the Windows Start menu, click Control Panel à Programs à Uninstall a Program.

2.    Select Autodesk Advance Steel 2025 the list, right-click to Uninstall/Change. If the User Account Control dialog box is displayed, click Continue.

3.    In the installation wizard, Maintenance Mode page, click Uninstall.

4.    On the Uninstall Advance Steel page, click Uninstall.

5.    Click Finish.

To uninstall Advance Steel 2025 from Windows 11

1.    Click the Windows icon in the task bar to access the Start menu.

2.    At the top of the Start menu, you will see a list of pinned apps. If Advance Steel 2025 is in this list, right-click it and then click Uninstall from the context menu.

3.    If Advance Steel 2025 is not in the list of pinned apps, click All Apps to the right of the pinned apps group.

4.    A complete list of apps will appear on the next screen. Locate Advance Steel 2025, right-click it, and then click Uninstall from the context menu.
